FAQ

What if I don't know my birth time?
If you can't find out your birth time, Astrology sessions and/or blueprints will not include specific house placements for any planets. The Rising Sign/Ascendant, Midheaven, Vertex will not be accessible. The chart will be calculated at 12:00 pm (noon) as a point of reference. Please bare in mind that this method affects the accuracy of the analysis and acts as an ‘estimation’. Take this into consideration when booking or purchasing.

How can I find out my birth time?
It’s worth noting, that without a time of birth it is difficult to know the precise positions of the planets. Some planets move more quickly than others and the time can greatly affect the outcome of the chart. There are a number of ways to find out your birthtime: ask family members, check your birth certificate for a time indication, research Astrologers that provide rectification services where key events and dates are used to infer a potential birth time (I do not offer this service).

What is a natal chart?
A natal chart (also known as a birth chart or star chart) is a diagram/map of where all the planets were at your exact time of birth from our vantage point here on earth. Imagine it as a snapshot of the moment you were born. You can use a natal chart to explore indications of individual strengths, areas of improvement and general self-development, and prediction of potential events.

What is the difference between a natal chart and a solar return chart?

As mentioned above your natal chart is a snapshot of where all the planets were at your time of birth (your foundational astrology). A solar return chart calculates the exact moment the Sun returns to its natal or birth position, and indicates potential themes for your next solar year (from one birthday to the next).

Which system of astrology do you use?
I use the tropical (western) system which has its roots in Hellenistic and Babylonian traditions. There are many different types of Astrology all with their own unique practices and principles. As a result, different chart placements will occur. If you are interested in Astrology, it is worth exploring the different branches to gain a varied perspective.

What is the difference between Tarot and Oracle cards?
Tarot is a deck traditionally containing 78 cards (more modern decks may include additional cards). 22 of those are known as the Major Arcana or trump cards. The remaining 56 cards are the Minor Arcana which is split into four suits; wands, cups, swords, and pentacles. Within these suits are the court cards containing the; page, knight, queen, and king (names may vary depending on the deck used). As a rule, the Major Arcana explores great change and development, whereas the Minor Arcana can be said to explore everyday happenings.

Oracle cards can range anywhere from 13 or more cards and there is usually a specific topic or subject explored. There is not a specific referencing system in oracle cards which is at the discretion of the creator.

What do you use Astrology and Tarot for?
Both Astrology and Tarot can be used for a variety of purposes. The most widely known use is divination (the prediction of potentialities). However, other uses include; self-development and inquiry, entertainment, and guidance.

I use Astrology and Tarot for self-development and guidance that encourages clients to tap into their power in the here and now.
